Deputy Mayor Figueroa and S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth Leaders

The Village of Hempstead recently celebrated S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth, Inc.’s 16th anniversary in the Village of Hempstead. To honor the organization’s profound contributions to Long Island’s young people, Village of Hempstead Deputy Mayor Luis Figueroa presented S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth leaders with the Mayor’s Special Service Award.

S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth, Inc. is a youth, family and community development organization specializing in youth and gang violence prevention and intervention by educating and empowering communities to provide alternative programs and activities. It is one of the leading gang prevention and intervention agencies in the Northeast region.
