As part of the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI), Hempstead’s Community Development Agency (CDA) is currently looking to fill a few job openings that I wanted to bring to your attention. Specifically, the CDA is seeking qualified candidates for two part time positions as Community Resources Officer and two part-time positions as Community Liaison. Among the qualifications, residency within the Village is required.
ESPRI offers community members in the Incorporated Village of Hempstead the opportunity to work together to develop and execute a plan to reduce the number of village households residing in poverty. Toward this end, this week ESPRI awarded funding to projects that will provide supportive services for long term stability and success to improve the collective condition of residents living in financial hardship. Funds will be available in the areas of Employment & Career Readiness, Youth & Adult Mentoring, and Navigation & Resources.
For anyone interested in learning more about the job openings, please call the CDA office at (516) 485-5737 or visit the website at: www.villageofhempsteadcda.org.
